REFLECTIONS
2011, when the clock struck 12, so began a new year. A year to create, learn, enjoy and make things happen.
While my imagination buzzed with new ideas about my photography, I reflected positively on the steps I've already taken.
As you might already know in 2009 I travelled to the Cook Islands.
The photo below was taken the first night we landed in Rarotonga. It was the first time I had ever seen the sunset set across the ocean, it was beautiful.
This photograph marks a significant moment in my life:
It was my first overseas trip.
It was one of my first photographs on my original Canon camera.
It was an adventure with good friends surrounded by a beautiful landscape and pumping waves. All these individual elements were the catalyst to my appreciation for photography.
I was ignited with a drive to work harder and create more.
Looking back at this photo, the positioning and editing made me reflect on how far I've come, having only first picked up a camera in 2009.
Cook Island Trip 09, was some of the best money I've spent so far and really shaped me to who I am today.
Since then I've changed camera gear, equipment and editing programs.
I hope you like what you see and thank you for reading!
